ASONET AND DDP WOMEN’S DIALOGUE ON ACCESS TO SOCIAL SERVICES
The dialogue was attended by several African women from various countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Kenya, Zambia and South Africa.
According to one the facilitators Jenny Boyce these dialogues are a platform for women who go through certain hardships in their homes/lives to share their stories, listen to other stories and come up with solutions to these issues.
She said that women who come to South Africa (SA) from other African countries are the same as any other women in this country (SA). She said: “We face the same problems; our pains are the same. As women, we are peaceful, loving and caring creatures by nature, it’s our job to love and protect one another”.
